Description | Article announcing plans for the construction of an electronics manufacturing plant near Black Mountain by Kearfott Company, a subsidiary of General Production Equipment Corporation. The plant will be the newest of three electronics-producing plants in the area and will employ two hundred seventy-five people. Plans are for construction to begin in October and production to begin within six months. The chief product will be a small electric motor. Kearfott's principal products and manufacturing divisions are discussed.
