Description Photograph shows a narrow, rough dirt road cut into a hillside in section 2M of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Commentary Tunnel #2 is found in McDowell County in section 2M. The tunnels were often employed to reduce or eliminate the need for excessive landscaping. Most of the tunnels are lined with concrete or gunite, a pneumatic cement.
